  • In ‘normal times’ Anthony is an artisan cheesemaker based in North London. Since lockdown was announced, his business has changed entirely. All of the 200 restaurants he supplied have closed and he, like many other small cheesemakers, have faced their business - and the centuries’ old traditions they practice - being lost.

    That’s why he’s worked with the restaurant community to source and represent the best of British cheeses for Feed Britain. These are from artisan producers whose small distribution network has been threatened as supermarkets go into ‘wartime production mode.’ But, as Anthony says, “these are the people I believe people need to know about. And they’re not being represented in the market.’

Description

The stilton in this box comes from Nottinghamshire, the home of this stonking blue. Colston Bassett dairy is one of the last artisan stilton makers in the country, relying on a traditional hand-ladling process to make this cheese intensely rich and creamy.

Barron Bigod is the only unpasteurised British brie in the UK. Raw cheeses showcase the quality of the milk used, and Fen Farm’s choice of Montebeliarde cows gives this cheese a richness you won’t find in other bries.
